Technology Against climate chaNge to miGrate CO2 envirOnmental security threats, TANGO, is multiyear project supported by the Science for Peace and Security Programme of NATO.
TANGO was submitted as a proposal to the Special Call For Proposals on Security-Related Advanced Technologies issued in 2019 by the funding agency.
TANGO facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation on issues of common interest, including international efforts to meet emerging security challenges.
TANGO intends to tackle Environmental Security issues arising from key environmental constraints, in particular those related to the climate change, since this topic have the potential to significantly affect NATO's planning and operations.
Not only science! TANGO also deals with relationships with the society, and Institutional stakeholders, with the aim of establishing networks with relevant players in the realm of security awareness, with a special focus of environmental security themes.
Finally in presence at the Sotacarbo site, all TANGO partners enjoyed the impressive work done so far, sharing exciting results, discussing concerns and highlighting scientific perspectives.
After the kick-off, TANGO partners started working hardly on the work plan, producing exciting results and impressing achievements! During this meeting the initial TANGO accomplishments have been shared among the consortium, highlighting successes, difficulties and perspectives.
