TANGO is a technology convergence project, in which we intend to use catalysts immobilized on magnetic core-shell nanoparticles for CO2 utilization. We should approach this challenge through continuous flow chemistry and aerosol (micro-droplets) technologies.
Circles in the logo, representing both nanoparticles and micro-droplets, are attached each other because are magnetically attracted, in a continuous flow before converging in the bigger white circle. Colors of the circles are those of the rainbow, and each color represents each single technology we are trying to allow to work together: magnetism, nanotechnology, catalysis, flow chemistry and aerosol.
The flow is not linear or symmetric because research is not a linear and straightforward human activity. TANGO in the bigger circle represent the final convergence. The circle is white because white is the result of rainbow colors mixture. The pseudo-spiral shape, like a hurricane, resemble (or represent) very much the climate change. And, since the rainbow appears at the end of the storm as a sign of hope, TANGO rainbow is our two cents contribute to this challenge.
