Caterina participated to the 20^th edition of Merck Young Chemists' Symposium 2021, the annual event of Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) entirely dedicated to young researchers working in Chemistry. The Merck Young Chemists’ Symposium 2021 took place from the 22^nd to the 24^th of November in Rimini (Italy), on the Adriatic Riviera of Romagna, in one of the best-known seaside resorts in Northern Italy.

Caterina presented a talk entitled "A case study of CO₂ aerosol reactions: the efficient conversion of styrene oxide to carbonate in microdroplets conditions", reporting the results of her scientific research in front of an international audience, which also included representatives of chemical companies and invited renowned scientists.
