As a result, TANGO aims to release an optimized, fully technology integrated aerosol reactor that will allow efficiency improvement in CO2 utilization up to three orders of magnitudes compared to the batch process, at the same time allowing a significative reduction of wastes through a gentle, but efficient, catalysts recycle operated in continuous flow mode.

Ultimately, the innovative technology that TANGO intends to deliver will disclose a viable approach to a profitable utilization of CO2 as a valuable feedstock for chemicals and fuels production, transforming a major threat to the world peace into an attractive key resource for the wealth of the world community.

As an outcome, this project intends to offer to the scientific and industrial communities an innovative CO2 exploitation approach. This novel paradigm will merge into a research breakthrough at the forefront of various independently developed technology realms, paving the way for a circular, efficient, highly productive and sustainable utilization of carbon dioxide. This innovative approach will be easily extended to a wide range of CO2-based reactions. As a further, and more general outcome, the lessons learned in the specific case of CO2 exploitation will positively impact on the realm of gas-liquid biphasic reactions, improving performance of reactions and processes involving a gas as reagent.
